Disney Dream cruise and Walt Disney World 2014 - Day 6 - WDW

Supercalifragilistic Breakfast and Home

Remember how I said I was a super planner? Somehow I didn’t properly calculate transportation times to our breakfast 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort. I gave us about 50 minutes, which would have been okay, I think, but when we got to the bus stop after dropping all our baggage with bell services at the resort, there was a HUGE line for the Magic Kingdom busses. We knew we wouldn’t make it on the next bus, or even the next after that and possibly not the next after that. I told Roger that I knew the monorail ran from Epcot and an Epcot bus was coming, so we should just go there. Well, unfortunately, that morning, the Epcot bus also stopped at Port Orleans French Quarter (a sort of sister resort to Port Orleans Riverside) and then by the time we got to Epcot, it was already getting really late. By the time we got to the Transportation and Ticketing Center, transferred to the monorail to the resorts and go to the restaurant, we were nearly 20 minutes late.

I checked in, apologizing profusely. The woman at the desk smiled, reassured me and told me it happens all the time. She seated us right away for our fun character breakfast with Alice, Mary Poppins, Bert, Pooh and Tigger. Typically, the Mad Hatter is there and we were disappointed that he wasn’t, but Bert was there to make up for it.

Everyone thought Emmaline was super cute in her Alice dress. I imagine that most little girls are dressed like princesses and they don’t see a lot of Alice cosplay. Breakfast was tasty and we tried to stuff ourselves since we wouldn’t be eating again until dinner back in Austin.

Getting back to the resort was much quicker going through the Magic Kingdom and when we got back, we changed Emmaline back into her clothes and checked our bags at our resort (all the way to Austin - woo!) before boarding the “Magical Express”to the airport and heading home.
