5-night DCL Bahamas cruise + WDW: A 25th Anniversary Celebration - Day 4 - At Sea

At Sea

I woke up around 7:30, which is pretty late for me. I apparently needed the sleep! I put on my workout clothes and went to the gym, which was packed. I much prefer the gyms on the Classic ships. They are bigger, actually. But I usually stake out a particular spot on the Dream class ships and I went in to find that they had stuck a piece of equipment in that spot. There was already limited real estate and now more of it was gone. (I never saw anyone using that piece of equipment.)

I couldn't find a space to do my own thing so I went to deck 4. I didn't want to run, but I was able to find a nook in which to do a BODYCOMBAT workout. I was going to be teaching a new release upon arriving back home and I really needed to start getting it into my muscle memory. I'm sure I looked like a weirdo shadowboxing in a corner on deck 4, but I got it done. Roger got up around 8 and he did run on deck 4.

We both got some snacks from Cabanas before returning to the room to shower. Emmaline woke up around 9 and changed quickly to go run and meet C3PO, which she said was a lot of fun. After that at 9:30 we all went for sit-down breakfast in Royal Court where we had the longest breakfast service ever. Ever. Apparently they had misplaced our order and it didn't get done. It was a mess. We finally got back to the room at 10:45 (yes, over an hour later, insane).

We spent the rest of the morning doing laundry and relaxing in the room. I think Emmaline went to Vibe. At 12:30 it was time for one of my favorite activities: Jack Jack's Incredible Diaper Dash. We had three heats with 4 babies in the first, 4 in the second and 3 in the third and then a final heat. It was some good baby racing!

After the babies were done racing, we went to Cabana's for lunch followed by Disney Tunes Trivia Live. This was actually a really fun trivia. The songs were all played live by one of the musicians on board! We didn't win but I actually had a really good time at that one.

We returned to the room around 2:15 and relaxed for a bit before grabbing some coffee and heading off to Marvel trivia. We actually did really well at this one but didn't win. Emmaline went and did some pin trading at 3:30. It was crew member pin trading, but she said the pins weren't as good as the old officer pin trading that used to happen.

Then we did a bit of karaoke. Roger did not participate and instead played mini golf on the top deck. Once karaoke was over, we went up and got some snacks and there was some kind of DVC thing in Cove that I went to. They let us pick any coffee drink in Cove we wanted and gave us some cute coasters. I already had coffee so I got some tea and it wasn't very good. Oh well.

The show for the evening was Aladdin, which we all attended because it's always a great show and this evening was no exception. After the show we returned the room to regroup before going to La Piazza to watch Soul Duo, which was my favorite venue to see them. The atrium is just too chaotic and the lounge has a more intimate vibe.

We left them at 8:15 to make our way to dinner in Animator's. The Crush show was less annoying than I remember so that was good. It probably helped that we weren't at a table right next to a screen. Emmaline ducked out a little early to meet Belle (her favorite princess) and then went to Vibe. Roger and I went to Majority Rules, which we've played before. I have a funny story about this. So the deal with this game is that they give you a question and you have to figure out what you think the majority of people will say. So, for example, the question may be "who is world's sexiest man?" So you write down your answer. You might write down Ryan Gosling and then if the majority of the people in the room also write that, you get a point. But the ones that don't win are actually really funny and the best part of the game. And this is in the adult club after hours so pretty much anything goes.

Every time we've played it, one of the questions is "what celebrity does the club host (person running the game) look like?" Yo Yo (he was hilarious every time we saw him) looked like the king of the gorilla people in Black Panther (M'Baku). We didn't win, but when he read ours he said, "that's actually my cousin!" I felt like more people should have said that, because seriously, that's who he looks like. Check out his Insta account and see for yourself.
