Summer 2026 Graduation Celebration: Edinburgh, London, Disneyland Paris, Paris - Day 10 Disneyland Paris and Travel to Paris
Another early morning but we had planned it because it was really our best option to ride Hyperspace Mountain, because it had been closed for refurbishment the rest of the days we were there. Except that you already know we got to ride it anyway. It’s okay, we were happy to ride it again. After that we gave Big Thunder another go before going back for a sit-down breakfast in Disney Village. We made it back to the room in time to finish getting packed and ready give our bags to the front desk so we could catch a little more park time.
We caught a bunch of shows (including the phenomenal “Mickey and the Magician”), checked out the new Frozen section of Adventure World, caught a fun marching band and had lunch prior to going back to the hotel to grab our bags and then we took the free shuttle to the train station to catch a train to Paris. We got checked into our AirBnB, which was actually two apartments on the same floor of a building in a little suburb of Paris. Dru had one tiny studio unit and then we had a slightly bigger two bedroom for the three of us down the hall.
We had originally planned to go see the Eiffel Tower sparkle on this night but we were all totally zonked so we just had some dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant instead. Actually Dru, Emmaline and I went because Roger was really cooked and stayed behind and rested and we got him something to go. I ran out to the grocery store to grab a few things for breakfast and then we all absolutely crashed. We had all had too many late nights and early mornings and go-go-go for the past week.
A few final thoughts about Disneyland Paris that are completely random:
- The parks are absolutely beautiful and clean and the theming is all fantastic.
- I’m not sure what was up with some of the kids, but we witnessed a lot of children running amok. We go to the parks in the states a lot and we’re used to kids, but these kids were off the charts all over the place. Something cultural? I’m not sure.
- The parks were primarily full of Europeans from all over. We heard some English but also lots of other languages but I feel like not as much French, actually. Lots of Spanish, Italian and German.
- The parks (and Disney Village) are super small and wait times felt lower so we were able to get most everything we wanted to done in just the one full day and two half days we were there. Though I could have done with one more ride on Phantom Manor
- It was super clever the way they did the shows in both French and English with some characters speaking English and others would use French. For example, one character would say something in French and then the English speaking character would reply and say something like, “Yes, I agree that we should clean this place up!”
- The thrill rides felt more thrilling, but the chill rides felt more chill. There was very little in between.
Overall I liked Disneyland Paris, but I’m probably one and done (especially with the distance).
